When you are stressed out, is your first instinct to grab a drink?
Have you tried other treatment approaches before, but continue to struggle with relapse?
Has someone you love told you that you drink too much?
Do you feel like maybe you have a problem with drugs or alcohol but aren’t sure if you are really ready to quit, or if you did, how you would even start?
While there are many wonderful rehabilitation programs and support groups out there, sometimes they may be too much of a time commitment, too expensive, or do not feel like a good fit for you. Michelle will work closely with you to identify an approach that is best for you and identify your goals of treatment, whether that is achieving sobriety or learning to utilize healthy coping skills instead of drinking to deal with life’s stress. Michelle has worked in methadone maintenance treatment programs, dual diagnosis treatment centers focusing on both mental health and substance abuse treatment, and has training in harm reduction psychotherapy. Michelle believes in treating the whole person especially when addiction is a concern- all areas need to be worked on in unison to achieve the best results possible.
